Beginning Sunday, November 22nd, we will worship online only here at First Baptist Church. You are no doubt aware of the precautions that the people of Kentucky have been asked to take to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. These actions are hard and require great commitment. In addition, the Governor has requested that churches contribute to the health of our neighbors by worshiping online through December 13th. I want to encourage our church to do our part.
I have kept asking myself, “Right here, right now, how can we best love our neighbors?” Through much discussion with the church staff and a group of our deacons, we feel that going back online for worship is the most loving course of action for us to take at this time.
We do not pretend to know all the answers or even what is best at this moment, but we rely on God’s mercy and seek to be faithful to God’s call in our lives.
Please join us on Facebook for worship and on Youtube. And when you find encouragement in one of our services, please share it with others.
Blessings,
Ande Myers
